And we have SNOW!

Kind of weird around the Doom house this week.  Monday night Harper starting not feeling well.  That progressed into Tuesday.  Any other year we'd say it was a bug and leave it at that.  Jen and the girls are distance learning so it's easy for them to stay home.  In chatting with folks from work I decided to stay home Tuesday and now Wednesday.  We are covered at work and it's better to play it safe than not.  Because of this I am all messed up on what day of the week it is!

I did get out for a ride yesterday morning.  The wind was directly out of the North about 10mph.  I jumped on the Cutthroat and headed out to do the Gillman Gravel Loop.  Monday it had rained a bunch.  Over night is got below freezing.  The roads were dry so there were no slick spots but the gravel was a weird consistency.  Not firm yet from freezing but not full on mush from all the rain.  It seemed to be acting a bit like Velcro.  Add in the headwind that felt stronger than it was and I was slowly chugging along.  Once through Gillman I started to head South and West with a tailwind.

The Ride.

Snow was predicted for later in the day, early afternoon.  I decided to do one more round of yard work.  As I finished it started to snow in earnest.  I still have two gutters to clean but I think this snow will melt as did our last batch.  Rain is predicted this Saturday.

Snow it did!  I still feel it's too early but it looks so fun.  I hope it does end up staying but I'm not getting my hopes up.  Looks like we got a solid 6".  Time to shovel.  Hopefully a fat bike ride at sometime too.  We are going in to get tested today, to rule out Covid.  All testing sites are booked till the weekend!  Some do have walkups, which we are doing.  Just not sure how long we will be waiting.

Play in the snow!
