Damn, It's Official...

...I'm old.

Last night Jen, the girls, and I went to Jimmy John's for dinner. Instantly upon walking in the techno/house music started to ease on through my ears to thump on my already hurting brain. Funny thing is I really dig techno, just not last night. At the counter, I just looked up at the board to see what they have, and the dude yelled "what can I get you"? Yeah, he yelled because it was so loud. The kids were squirming all over, chip bags were getting knocked on the floor, I still needed to order something, and boom, boom, boom...ahhhhhh.
At the booth things for me calmed and I turned back to 35 from 65, for now! Actually watching the guys behind the counter take orders, make subs, bust a dance move here and there made me think it would be a pretty sweet place to work.

Moving on.

At the Arrowhead my lower back was an issue as well as my, thought to be gone and fixed, upper back/lower neck area. So since then I have started to focus on my core region more. Instead of tossing in some core exercises in between sets I now have dedicated gym days for core. I am shooting for twice a week. This too will cut back on my lifting and hopefully bring me closer to my "magic" weight goal. Why I want 180 lbs is still not known to me, but that's my carrot in front of me right now.
I always thought my core strength was pretty good but once I did a solid workout of core exercises I realized how wrong I was. The 'ol obliques are a tad sore today!

This morning I'm headed over to Graystone to hit up some XC skiing. Next week it's predicted to reach 40+ degrees! That will be havoc on the trails so I'm getting while the getting is good.

Later.

One of the best and easiest core exercises for me is the yoga pose "the plank" and "the side plank" I am almost a little sad that x country skiing is coming to an end.
