What a freaking week.
Dealing with a miscarriage, Avery being sick for 3 days, and yesterday I had to leave work to bring Jen to the doctor, not planned. Turns out she has an infection from the procedure last week and was a few hours from being admitted to the hospital and becoming septic. I mean what else can happen? Oh yeah, my Dad had eye surgery three days ago and now the problem may not have been totally fixed. We have to wait to find out next Monday. I'm ready for a vacation.
As stated earlier I was going to go for a 3 hour ride today, but with having worked half the time I was scheduled this week I'm going into work early. I need to get some stuff done before I leave for a week. So a quick romp at the gym and off to work. Thanks again to the Revo crew for filling in and covering for me when I have and will be gone.
Not much riding, or training of any sort, will happen while I am in Florida. We do rent cruiser bikes and get around Sanibel mostly by them, but that's about it. I'm ok with that. I had hoped to ride a bunch more before we left so it would be a break from the action, but that's not the case. Nonetheless, some rest it always good, and I am not always good about resting. I will hit it hard upon our return. TransIowa is creeping closer and closer. I'm getting pretty excited for this race. I still have to do all the "logistic" planning yet too. Hotel, gear, who's picking me up and where, etc. All fun stuff.
Later.
