Pretty bad week for updating. Per usual, life is a bit hectic now. Not out of control, but just stuck in fast forward.
Between Jen's after school activities, the kid's after school activities, my work (been real busy!), my riding, cleaning for people coming over this weekend, blah, blah, blah, the week has flown by.
Trying to sneak everything in has started to take it's toll. I'm feeling pretty tired.
I had been wishing I was doing the Chequamegon 100 this weekend but am grateful I am not. I would have suffered through the entire thing, and most likely walked away sick.
I haven't been riding as much this week either. My legs have been tired from the Almanzo/Royal and my ankle still hurts. I did do the Tuesday ride and had a great time. We went about 70 miles in, in about 3 hours. We hit up a new road that I discovered about a month ago. It's south of 24/55 and travels around a lake with a twisty and hilly road. Good stuff. I then rode 2.5 hours yesterday at a real casual pace. Today more of the same and into work early to hopefully pound out some repairs.
I work Saturday and have Sunday off. Brinna is having her First Communion this Sunday. I tried to get out of going but no luck! Maybe a ride afterwards. The never ending quest to sneak in rides continues...will it never end?!
I continue to long for some mtbing. This week should have really helped the trails dry out, but the next few days are splattered with rain showers, damn. I the hopes of getting the ok to get a new mtb frame I have started the process of unloading some stuff on EBay. Next week I plan on putting up my Surly Pacer and 1X1. I have drug my heels on this for sometime as both these bikes have sentimental value. But when it comes down to it I do not ride them very much, if at all, so it's time for them to find a more deserving owner. Thin the herd to add to the herd!
Later.
