We just wrapped up our 5th Anniversary Sale! Started Thursday and ended yesterday. The weather cooperated and the people came, man was it a busy 4 days! Had a pretty good time. Could use some time off but not yet, but this weekend for the Dirty Benjamin.
Sitting here, I'm trying to remember what I've done since my last post (Wednesday)...not much is coming to me. Kind of a blur of events, but here goes:
Thursday:
Worked a 10-8 shift so I got out early for a 3.5 hour ride. Worked, it was crazy busy, like a good Saturday. Stopped at DQ on the way home. The end.
Friday:
10-8 again, so again up early to ride. Met Mike at the shop. Thunder and rain escorted us out. It wasn't even asked if we were still going to ride, we just went. It was humid so the rain felt good. Eventually the rain stopped and the heat and sun appeared. We were both looking for an "easy" type ride. Once we realized we were a bit too far out we stopped the chit chatting and battled the wind home for a not so easy ride. Another 3.5 hours. Friday too was pretty busy, non stop activity. The day flew by.
Saturday:
Slept in a bit, no riding today. Did get to the gym for about an hour of lifting and core stuff. Work started off slow but that was stopped with a constant flow of people for the rest of the day. Brian and I got a ton of repairs done too, which turns out to be a blessing since Sunday was insane and we didn't get any done!
Sunday:
Met Jim at the shop at 8 and rolled out for our newly dubbed "lake ride". A pretty awesome route that takes you around Twin Lake, Lake Sylvia, and Clearwater Lake. Once again a 3.5 hour ride. It flew by. We talked pretty much nonstop. For those that know me, know I don't talk so this is a pretty big deal! We open at noon on Sunday. From that point on the parking lot was pretty much full till the end of the day! I wasn't able to get any repairs done!
Overall it was a fun Anniversary Sale and a successful one too!
Gym today then the Tuesday group ride. Light spin on Wednesday. Rest on Thursday. Light spin on Friday. Dirty Benjamin on Saturday. Spin and garden work on Sunday.
Sounds like a good week.
Later.
