Once A Runner...

I haven't been in the pool for awhile, pretty much since it's been nice out. Wednesday was going to be a day off, which I suck at. Decided to hit the pool up for a bit. I thought it would suck but it felt pretty good. I only swim for a half hour, which moved along at a pretty good clip. I'm pretty excited to join the local DuTri members on their Friday morning swims at Warner Lake...hope I can keep up.
Since I've started seeing Tim at Rejuv Fitness I have made time at night to stretch and do some simple core exercises and balancing maneuvers. Man, I don't know if it's in my head, but I really feel this stuff is helping me! I still have some back issues on longer rides, but not like the past. Just need to keep on it.

Yesterday was another all day event at work so I got out for a trail run in the morning. I know I've said it before, but man do I wish my knees allowed me to run more. Almost 2 hours of trail running and I wanted more! I'm not fast...just plodding along, but it's so nice to have options other than the title of this blog suggests!
I've gotten suggestions on a 1/2 marathon trail run in Duluth in October. Might have to give it a whirl. My brother-in law is doing a 50k trail run in Afton this July. May go watch him or do the 25k?! Once a runner...always a runner.

Today is a riding day! Work at noon, so hope to get out just before sunrise and roll back into the driveway around 11. Nothing fancy planned, just saddle time. Missing the Tuesday Night Rides and the intensity they provide. Next week looks to be good...for now!

Later.

dude that is awesome! so glad that is helping! you should do a little right up with some examples of what you do, especially at night, I stretch and foam roll every night but I'm always interested in trying new things!
