This summer I'm down to a single speed Salsa Selma (which I LOVE) and 2 fat bikes for mountain bikes. I've ridden the Selma a ton but sometimes I want gears. I save the Ti Mukluk for pristine conditions so the Surly Pug is my workhorse. I've put more miles on that this summer than any of the previous summers. So much fun!
I'm not much of a "playful" rider, but on a fat bike I get the urge to jump stuff, go over stuff, and just play more and not concern myself with time and miles. So yeah, this has me thinking...A Surly Moonlander would be pretty sweet!
So tentatively thinking of selling my Surly Pugsley 18". It's a pretty solid build. Comes with two wheel sets! My build comes closest to the Necromancer which retails for $1850. I'd sell mine for $1500. Hit me up if interested. I'm not 100% sure I want to do this but ya just never know!
I did get 2 hours on the Pug last night at the North Loop...AWESOME!
Heading out in a bit for an hour trail run.
Work.
Then off the Brain's to do some Fat Bike exploring along the Mississippi River. Join if you want...fun times. BRAAAP.
Out.

Ben, there is nothing wrong with three fat bikes, you own a bike shop. do your self a favor and keep the pug. also the moon lander is noticeably heavier and more tiring to ride, they are not as nimble as the pug and not as much "fun".also, make your collection bigger with the Krampus.
well damn it. Now I have to think! Krampus is on the radar. BRAAAP.
Mr. Doom..... Sir,
I have to agree whole heartedly with Mr. DR!!
I too gave the Moonlander a look, all be it, a short look.
for my riding the ML didn't make much sense.
My Pugs covers me very nicely!!
I'm down to one skinny MTB; I sold my other bikes.
As you stated, the Pugs makes even the non playful, well playful!! ;)
The bad child eating ;) Surly will be my next two wheeled purchas also!!
