Dirt, Road, and Swim Meets.

Even more dirt on Wednesday evening!  I hung with the kids for the day while Jen was still at teacher workshops.  A nice change as I'm usually the one at work while the kids and Jen are home.  We hit up Barnes & Noble with a little Chipotle tossed in.
Later that evening I headed out on the Deadwood.  I've ridden the local trails more this year than I ever have (this early in the season...MTB season is fall!) but still find them fun.  Especially at night as the trails become "new"!  I hit up Plum Creek and the North Loop for a bit over 2 hours.  Despite having fun on my home trails I really want to hit up Bertram in Monticello, Cuyuna, and Duluth.  Next week is Salsa Ride Camp in the Chequamegon area and I finally am able to go!!!  I'll be getting my mountain bike on for sure.

Yesterday Jen and the girls had an appointment so I busted out the road bike and headed South and East into the wind.  Nothing fancy or spectacular just a good 'ol road ride...3.5 hours.  In the  afternoon we headed to Willmar to watch Brinna at her swim meet.  It's hot, noisy, crowded, and long but damn I like swim meets...so not me!  When it comes down to two swimmers neck and neck I get goosebumps watching them.  Good stuff!

Still not sure what, if any, or weekend plans are.  Going with the flow.  With Bertram so close, 20-25 minutes, I hope to hit that up.

Happy Holiday Weekend.
