Wind but No Snow.

Pretty exciting...I figured out how to had my rides on Strava to this blog, whoa!  That's pretty impressive for me, but yeah, I googled it.

After work yesterday I headed south into the wind with the Dirt Bag course as my destination.  Yes it was windy, toss in a fat bike and I was crawling!  Once I got on the gravel I was protected some and actually had the wind in my favor a few times.  But anytime I hit open road into the wind, bam, the wind was there.  Even after the sun went down the wind continued to blast out of the south.  The benefit of the wind staying constant throughout is I was able to reap the benefits on my way home...I was flying then!

It's that time of year that I look at the updated snow coverage map the DNR puts out on Thursdays.  Yeah this is a week old so I'm guessing the brown has moved further north, blah.  Looks like next week it's finally going to hit normal temperatures, some colder.  At least it gives us a fighting chance for snow.  My guess is the the Nordic Ski Club will start making snow next week sometime too.  Fingers crossed.
