Global Fat Bike Day and Moving.

Saturday was Global Fat Bike Day.  It's a tongue in cheek holiday but a good reason to gather the troops and have a ride.  The MMCC (our local bike group) hosted an event.  We hoped we'd get at least 20 riders.  In the picture above there are 28, later several more joined in!  Super cool.  We broke into two groups, A and B.  I had left my house early and got an hour+ in before the group ride.  The A group (the group I was in) headed over to Quarry Park.  I am never able to piece together a good route once in the park.  Following Kyia we had an awesome route and stayed there a long time.  We eventually made our way over to the Plum Creek/River Bluff area, hitting up the small sections of trails along the way.  I headed home before Plum Creek as I had yard work and moving to do.  Such a great ride!

Sunday I thought about taking a rest day but I was close to 300 fat miles on the week.  Much like the song of the Siren I was pulled into to reaching 300 miles!
My goal for the week was 15 hours or so but somehow managed 23 hours and 307 miles.  It just sort of fell into place.

We did get a lot of yard work, cleaning, and moving done this weekend as well.  We are almost ready to move in.  Hell the fridge is stocked and the cupboards have reinforcements in them, but the power to some lights and the hot water heater are out.  Gah!  So close!  Next weekend is it.  We will finally move into our home after 8 months.  What a process.

Happy Week.
