Thursday.

The winds were out of the E, NE, E, and eventually E/SE.  I took the Evergreen and headed towards Sherburne Wildlife Refuge and the Sand Dunes.  About 30 minutes in I was already getting hungry and had that "bonk" feeling starting to creep in.  I dealt with this for the first few hours.  The legs felt fine and once I got rid of the "bonk" I was good to go.

At the Refuge I continued East to County Road 1, which I took into Elk River.  I pushed on to Monticello, Montrose, Waverly before turning for home.  Many of the roads were pretty busy but with huge shoulders.  Traffic doesn't bother me much when riding solo.  It's when I'm with others trying to ride two abreast, etc that I get uneasy.

Past Maple Lake I came upon parts of the Dirt Bag.  I jumped on the gravel and took it the rest of the way home.  I had mentally planned on it being cloudy but it was mostly sunny and windy.  I was a salt lick at the end.  I polished off my 100 oz hydration pack and two 24 oz bottles.  Only 7 or so miles from home I stopped and got some cold well water in my bottles.  Almost finished those before I got home!
Ended with 128 in 7:14.

Today our sale starts!  I'm excited for the hopeful chaos.  Tomorrow we have hot dogs and DQ rooter floats so stop on by!.
