Ready to get back to some sort of routine.

Shortly after posting last Friday we got the results back from our Covid test: negative!  Thus I was able to head into work.  I wan't in the mood for riding the same loops so going to work was great.

Saturday morning I felt the same about riding but decided to head out for a bit as Sunday was slotted for another windy day.  I hit up the Race Track for a few laps, checking out the work going on there.  There is restoration project happening.  Lots of Buckthorn is getting removed.  Looks very different.  From here I decided to buck the wind down County Road 8 to Island View Park.  Nothing special but it was a nice break from the same loops.  Back down 8 towards Sand Prairie.  Some other riders have been down there so it was riding very well, for Sand Prairie.  I'm guessing most of our snow will melt this week however.

The Ride.

Already at 5:00 on Sunday morning the wind was whipping.  Most of the day it was in the 20 for mph with gusts much higher.  I skipped riding!  We did take Toby over to Friedrick Park and walked all the trails.  It was a great time.  Finished up with hot chocolate at home.

After the chaos of last week I am craving a bit more of a "normal" week.  Harper has school 2 days this week.  She then joins her sisters in full distance learning till, at least, January 4th.  My rides won't be like they have been but I'll get rides in.  Winter changes how I ride.  More importantly I hope to get back to more constant healthy eating.  I'm not bad but I have my moments and I feel like crap after.  Last week was a lot of feeling like crap!

Time to tackle Monday.
